FIRST TRAIN OF THE ARCTIC LNG 2 PLANT WAS SHIPPED FROM MURMANSK TO GYDAN

Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin took part in the ceremony dedicated to the shipping of the first natural gas liquification (LNG) train on a gravity base. It will be towed along the Northern Sea Route to the Utrenneye field on the Gydan Peninsula in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region.

“LNG production projects certainly have major importance since they bear a comprehensive effect on the entirety of economy, allow us to win back our much-required share on the global LNG market, allow us to develop the related industries,” said Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

At the event, SNEMA-SERVIS was represented by Deputy General Director for Development Ramil Rinatovich Ismagilov and Head of the Technical Department Aleksey Nikolaevich Vetrov.

“Arctic LNG 2” is the second large-capacity project of “Novatek”, which provides for the construction of three process trains for the production of liquefied natural gas with a capacity of 6.6 million tons each (19.8 million tons of LNG per year).

SNEMA-SERVIS has been operating at the Arctic LNG 2 project since 2021, performing electrical installation works and commissioning.
